Public health officials have confirmed another case of rabies in Pike County.

A rabid fox was found on Holly Drive on the east side of Troy.

Authorities killed the animal and tested positive for rabies.

The incident marks the second case of rabies reported in Pike County this year.

Health officials remind pet owners that Alabama law requires all dogs and cats over six weeks of age to be vaccinated against rabies.
