A Nigerian national has been arrested for identity theft in Troy.

Twenty-five-year-old Benedict Sejro is officially charged with the fraudulent use of a credit card.

Police Chief Anthony Everage says the investigation began after a victim in Atlanta complained that a credit card in their name was being used in Troy.

Sejro, who is originally from Legos, Nigeria, has been turned over to federal authorities on a $200,000 bond.

The u-s postal service is investigating Sejro for possible mail and identity theft violations.
