An Enterprise used car dealer has been indicted by a Geneva County grand jury on a theft by deception charge.

Robert Parker allegedly sold a BMW in Atlanta without legally having the title.

Geneva County Sheriff Greg Ward says the title belongs to a Geneva County business which helped Parker finance the purchase of the BMW from a car auction.

Sheriff Ward says Parker sold the car but never notified the victim about the transaction.

The victim is out of more than $22,000.

“There's at least one victim, that person in Atlanta, Georgia who bought this vehicle does not have the title to it, that's because the vehicle is owned by the victim in Geneva who has the sole title to this vehicle," said Sheriff Ward.

Parker has been released from the Geneva County Jail on a 20,000 bond.

Authorities are looking to talk to other possible victims in the reported scheme.

I have worked with both Carol Ausley and Robert Parker. Carol has always been straight forward and honest. I can't say the same for Robert Parker. He is a crook of the first degree. I'm just glad it finally caught up with him. I wouldn't be suprised if during the course of the investigation more charges will be filed.

If Ms. Ausley can not only buy the Sheriff but the Gran Jury of Geneva, then she should run for President of the United States Mr. Parker received the money and needs to pay it back or face crimminal charges, the victims are not on trail Mr. Parker is lets not forget that

I have been following this case since the Morris Rivers case back in Feb 08. After deep investigations Morris Rivers, Roger Collier and Mr. Parker were all partners of C&C Motors of Enterprise these people have scammed, schemened, and defrauded the public, the auctions, and private floor planner ie. the Ausleys for over a year, Mr. Parker you have opened a can of worms...Just pay your debts before more charges are filed!!!and loose the attitude

This comment is to the person who left the anonymous comment about Sheriff Ward being in Carol Ausley's back pocket, Dude the dukes of hazard was a commedy show on tv and what I know and hear about Sheriff Ward he is doing one hell of a job as Sheriff of Geneva and for you to make that comment you should be locked up with Mr. Parker! or are you one in the same

I think its time Mr. Parker's action were brought into the light of day. In the work place he can be quit different. This man also has a bad temper. I wonder it his supporters really know him. Perhaps there are two sides to Mr. Parker

The grand Jury Indicted him, not the Sheriff

I bet Sheriff Ward is putting forth 110% on this case, since he so far in Carol Ausley's back pocket that he can't see day light. I hope he put's as much effort in cleaning up Geneva as he does working for Carol. From what I understand he is paid well for his time.

I can't imagine what happened to this man but I do know that he has a very fine wife and three very fine children. I hate this for them. They should not be judged by his actions. I can't imagine what led him to do this but I hope the court will hear him out. Perhaps he has an explanation? I hope so for the sake of his wonderful family.
