State Representative Jay Love has received an endorsement from the Alabama Farmers Federation or ALFA for the race for Alabama's 2nd Congressional District.

At 10:30 this morning ALFA held a press conference to officially give Love their support at a farm on Paramore Road.

Trustees on the board of the peanut pact of Alabama say they are excited for this endorsement because they feel Representative Love asked them what they wanted, instead of just asking for their support.

Love says, "I promise you this, with Jay Love on the Ag Committee, if elected, is going to be very sensitive to the needs of farmers in this state and in this district, and understands that unless we keep our farmers profitable they will not be able to stay in business."

When asked if he believed if the ALFA endorsement would boost his campaign, Representative Love responded by saying that the support of Alabama farmers would be a vital part of his possible election.
