Bay County Sheriff’s investigators have released the identity of a Panama City Beach real estate agent who fell six floors to her death at Bay Point Thursday afternoon.

Tamara Overton, 56, an agent with Bay Point Realty, died at a Panama City hospital not long after she fell from the 6th floor balcony of Lagoon Towers condominiums.

Ms. Overton and another agent were at the condo discussing plans concerning an upcoming closing on the property. They were sitting on swiveling chairs on the balcony and noticed a problem with a ceiling fan overhead.

The other agent apparently left the condo and went down stairs. When Ms. Overton did not soon follow, he went back upstairs to check on her. It was then that he discovered she had fallen over the balcony.

Investigators believed she stepped up on one of the chairs in an attempt to adjust the ceiling fan and fell to her death.

Her death has been ruled as accidential.
