Not defending the actions of Bryan, but I do know for a fact that he is mentally sick and he needs help. He was and has always been scared of the law...he wouldn't intentionally hurt anyone. Someone with mental challenges doesn't always know what to do or make the correct decisions whenever backed in a corner. The story is incorrect, a pellet bounced off the windshield and hit the officer causing minor skin breakage, not what was reported. Bryan was trying to shoot the tires out of the car, so as they couldn't chase him...he wasn't thinking..he was too scared. They picked Bryan up at his residence, of which Bryan went willingly, scared but willingly. Prior to giving himself up, he kept repeating, "I don't want them to shoot and kill me" like a child, who's mind is about 10yrs old. This goes to prove...things are blown out of context and facts aren't reported. I am thankful that no one was seriously injured and I hope Bryan finally gets the mental help he desperately needs.
The shot that hit him didnt go through the windshield, they have their facts wrong. And he wasnt found in a nearby neighborhood, he was found after a 4 hour man hunt in Walton County, a good distance from Ponce De Leon
I wonder if the windshield actually helped save him from death? Would be a good one for myth busters to see how much going through laminated glass it slows down a bullet.
