National Peanut Festival organizers say they have some surprises in store for this year's event.
They announced the calendar of events today at the festival fairgrounds.
Among the new attractions, Country singer Jimmy Wayne will be performing on Wednesday, November 5th.
Super Kiddy Lane will be a separate midway just for kids adjacent to the festival and kids will be happy about the return of the sea lion exhibit.
National Peanut Festival president, Pat Holland, says there's another surprise for the public.
“Troy state band is going to be in our parade this year so we're very excited about that.”
The National Peanut Festival opens at 5 p.m. on October 31 and runs through November 9.
Ticket prices will be $7 for adults and $6 for advance purchase. Children under seven years old get in free.
