Troy University-Dothan is hosting a French film festival open to the public and free of charge.

The event kicks off this coming Monday at 7:00 p.m.

Five French films will be shown at the Sony Hall inside the Library and Technology Building on the Troy- Dothan campus. Films will be show on October 13, 20, 22, 27, and 29.

The festival is the result of an $1,800 grant awarded to the university.

Chris Schaffer, event organizer, said, "The goal of the grant is simply to increase awareness of French culture in the Dothan area."

This will be the fifth semester a film series has been shown on the Troy-Dothan campus to entertain the public free of charge.
