A Pensacola man is standing trial for murder in Murder trial under way in Jackson County.

26-year-old Harry James Davis is charged with the beating death of Peggy Allen Williams.

Davis was arrested in August of last year; about a week after the woman's body was found in her home near Marianna, Florida.

Investigators say Davis became a suspect after a van with his identification inside was found near the scene of the crime.

The victim's stolen car was also found near Davis’s home in Pensacola.

Testimony in the case continues tomorrow.
