Carmike Cinemas 12 is holding its grand opening ceremony tonight.

The theatre features stadium seating and a wide selection of movies. The cinema is the newest addition out at the Dothan Pavilion on Highway 231 north in Dothan.

The project has been under construction for eight months and organizers are ready for the doors to open.

Carmike Cinemas Director of Marketing, Dale Hurst, said “I've been to Dothan several times throughout the construction and I don't know who's more excited, the good people of Dothan or us.”

Managers are hoping for a large turnout tonight at the theatre and are expecting even larger crowds Halloween night as people check out their thrillers.
