A Dothan man is behind bars after a high-speed pursuit from Slocomb to near Cottonwood. The Houston County Sheriff's deputies made the arrest Friday night.
42-year-old Francisco Ovido led authorities on a chase after a Slocomb police officer attempted a routine traffic stop. The chase started in Slocomb and ended in houston County.
Finally, deputies laid spike strips to slow the vehicle down. Ovido is now charged with driving under the influence. More charges are likely to follow.
No one was injured during the incident.
