Michelin tire company officials say they are cutting production at their Dothan plant, at least temporarily.
About 16-contract employees will be affected.
The cutback is prompted by a downturn in the marketplace and will last through the end of November.
Michelin officials say they are working with employees to minimize the impact.
They also say cuts are being made on an “as-needed basis" at other Michelin plants in the country.
