The Bay County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division and Special Investigations Division arrested two in connection with a case that began as a burglary.

On December 9, 2008, Anwar Abdal Belion discovered an intruder in his home at the 4000 block of Cato Road, Panama City.

Belion confronted the man and the two began to fight outside the home. While the two were fighting, Belion’s girlfriend, Jessica Andrews, grabbed a hammer and hit the intruder on the head.

At this time Andrews entered into a verbal altercation with another woman in front of the home. This woman’s boyfriend attempted to stop the verbal altercation and Andrews hit him on the head with the hammer as well.

When deputies arrived, EMS was dispatched and the two men received medical care for their head wounds. Both have since been released from medical supervision. Andrews, DOB 10/16/83, of 3802 E. 5th Court, Springfield, was arrested on two counts of Aggravated Battery.

A search warrant was conducted on the Cato Road home and Special Investigations found marijuana and narcotics. Belion, of the 4000 block of Cato Road, was arrested and charged with Possession less than 20 grams, Possession of Paraphernalia, Possession of Legend Drug Colchicine, and Possession of Legend Drug Methocarbamol.
