A Wiregrass man with 6 DUI convictions was sentenced to more than a decade in prison.
Thirty-eight-year-old Kenneth Earl Smith of Geneva was charged with first degree assault and sentenced to 11 years.
In 2007, the car Smith was driving collided with another car just south of Chancellor.
Two people in the other car were injured; one victim is permanently paralyzed from the shoulders down.
Smith blew a 0.22; it is 3-times the legal limit.
He also had five previous arrests for DUI dating back to 1991.
The paralyzed victim was a flight student at the time of the accident.
