State Troopers, Houston County Sheriff’s Deputies, and Wicksburg Fire and Rescue responded to the crash.

Just before 9 o'clock this morning, a pick up truck driven by 75 year old Tim Milton of Coffee Springs collided with another truck.

Milton was pronounced dead on the scene.

The driver of the other vehicle-- 72 year old Joe Frank Wilson-- along with his wife Elinda Wilson were both transported to Flowers hospital in Dothan with minor injuries.

Paramedics tried to remove a dog that was hurt and stuck inside their truck, but had to call a veterinarian in for help when the canine reacted viciously toward officials.

State troopers aren't sure what exactly caused the accident, but say it could be weather related.

“It was still foggy when I arrived and I got here 10 minutes after 9 o'clock. " says Trooper Darren Pert of The Alabama Highway Patrol.

Houston County Coroner Robert Byrd says that it appears Milton died from injuries related to the crash.

State Troopers say for whatever reason, he lost control of his vehicle and was not wearing a seat belt.

The accident remains under investigation by The Alabama Highway Patrol.
