A small fm radio station's effort to raise monies for the shooting victims' families went beyond all expectations.
Over four-days, volunteers outside WAAO's downtown Andalusia studios collected nearly $50,000.
In addition, companies as far away as Mobile, donated caskets and vaults. On this day, the girls' Red Level softball team spent the day looking for donations from motorists.
Radio station owner Blaine Wilson thanked his listeners for their efforts.
Willson says many of the contributions came from folks with no-ties to the Wiregrass.
