Federal and state recovery agency employees are in Northwest Florida this week.
Walton County is in a unique position, it has been affected by flood waters on both the Choctawhatchee and Shoal rivers.
Thursday, the water is back within its banks along the shoal river.
Two-weeks-ago, torrential rains in the Wiregrass ran downstream causing high water issues in Walton County’s Mossy Head and Bruce Communities.
Federal assessment teams will meet with the people who suffered business and residential loss over the next few days.
It's hoped the area will receive a presidential disaster declaration making it eligible for FEMA money.
