A small children’s' park in Western Coffee County has attracted a lot of interest from residents and visitors alike.
Several years ago, Tiger Town Park was built at the site of the old Elba High School in the downtown district. It was built to accommodate physically impaired children as well.
Over recent months, the city has received state grant money to expand the park.
Elba Mayor James Grimes said, “We have received around 130-thousand dollars to go toward bathrooms and other improvements to the park."
Elba officials say the park has even increased the number of people visiting the city, coming from as far away as Troy and Dothan.
