Fort Rucker investigating helicopter crash near Hartford
One pilot is dead and another is in the hospital after a TH-67 training helicopter crashed just north of Hartford.

This one was likley compressor stall during high DA with slow reaction time. Common with IERW to give SP time to react prior to IP taking over. Tragidy.

What were the results of the Army investigation of this crash? After more than a month, I haven't seen any more details emerge. Another crash landing last week http://www.zwire.com/news/newsstory.cfm?newsid=20347982 , again with the IP on board, I wonder if there is some undiagnosed problem with the TH-67's as a result of the countless practice "auto-rotations".
