MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP) - The Federal Emergency Management Agency and state officials are setting up a disaster recovery center to
help the victims of flooding in several Alabama counties earlier
this spring.
The centers will be at the Bullock County courthouse, the
Capitol Heights Community Center in Montgomery and the Millbrook
Civic Center in Elmore County.
They are open Monday through Thursday this week. The center in
Elmore County is also open Sunday.
Victims can apply for home repair loans, check the status of
their claims and get information on other programs that could
provide further assistance.
The state was hit by severe weather May 6-8, which brought
flooding to some areas.
