According to Walton County Sheriff's Office public information officer, an employee at South Walton Real Estate Incorporated off Bishop Tolbert Road in Santa Rosa Beach opened a package sent to the business Wednesday afternoon.

A white powdery substance spilled on her when she opened the package.

Thursday morning, she awoke feeling sick and went to a doctor, and they notified the Walton County Sheriff's Office.

Sheriff's deputies, fire rescue and a hazmat unit from Okaloosa County quarantined the area and sent a sample to Pensacola for testing.

The woman and her son, who also could have been exposed, have been isolated pending the results of the test.

The business was cleared to re-open Thursday afternoon.
