BESSEMER, Ala. (AP) - Police said no one was injured when an 18-wheeler collided with a train in Bessemer.

Sergeant Hank Edwards said the accident happened about four pm when the truck's driver tried to beat the train across tracks at Morgan Road.

Edwards said the Norfolk Southern train was traveling 29 miles per hour when it hit the back end of the trailer.

The accident was the third involving a train and a vehicle in Bessemer since Thursday and the fifth train accident in Alabama in just over a week.
