An Ashford home is destroyed in a late night fire.

Ashford fire and rescue along with the Ashford Police Department and Cowarts Fire Department responded to the fire on rocky creek road around midnight.

The fire was under control in 20 minutes. There was someone in the home when the fire started but, fortunately no one was injured.

The home is believed to be about 60 to 80 years old.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
