Houston County woman dies in traffic crash
A Houston County woman was killed in a traffic crash Saturday in Daytona Beach, Florida.

A Houston County woman was killed in a traffic crash Saturday in Daytona Beach, Florida.
Denease Layton of Ashford was pronounced dead at the scene after the car she was driving was struck by an SUV.
A passenger, Betty Drum of Holly Hill, Florida was also killed and Mrs. Layton's daughter was injured.
Police say the driver of the SUV was not seriously hurt in the crash.
Mrs. Layton's husband, Alfred, once served as Superintendent of the Houston County School System.
