A former employee at a Jackson County nursing home is charged with abusing an elderly patient.

A former employee at a Jackson County nursing home is charged with abusing an elderly patient.

26-year-old Cigi Snell worked as a nursing assistant at the Signature Health Care Center of north Florida in Graceville.

She's accused of slapping a 90-year-old woman at the facility.

Snell was fired following the incident.

She faces up to five years in prison if she's convicted.
