OZARK, Ala. (AP) - A Dale County woman who dumped a pot of hot grease on her sleeping boyfriend in April of last year was sentenced to 21-years in prison.
Circuit Judge P-B McLauchlin handed the jail term Thursday to Shana Pouncy of Daleville. She entered a plea deal to assault and domestic violence.
Prosecutors said the victim, Jimmie Jackson, suffered critical burns, especially to his face and may never be able to use the muscles in his mouth.
