Dothan City Commissioners are considering a new law that would prohibit people from bringing their own alcohol into businesses for consumption.
The so-called "brown bag" ordinance was discussed during today's administrative meeting.
Some commissioners and business-owners are concerned that the proposed statute could impact private events such as wedding receptions and office parties.
So the ordinance is being reviewed and will be brought back before the commission later this year.
The Ordinance is attached to this article.
