ALL Christians are still sinners and are under attack by Satan. While I do not condone his actions, I do know that this man was a man of God. He fell into sin. We can ALL fall into the same kind of sin if we are not careful. I know everybody is hurting from his sinful actions. Pray for the victim's family and the Grant family.

What happened is terrible and will take years to heal the wounds but thank God that salvation is not based on our works(good or bad) but on what Christ did for us on the cross. By grace thru faith. But to use this incident as an excuse to not go to church is the most idiotic thing I've heard. "people like this" are at Wal Mart, Malls, Gas Stations, Football Stadiums and even in our schools so what is your reason for not staying away from those places if "people like this" keep you out of church?

whats said is that this guy was a preacher and sheriff's department chaplin. That is really good. He apparently admitted to it. Easy case to make if i may say so. I know someone here at a PD that has worked these for years. She tells me that the cases are sometimes hard to make,,especially if there is not evidence to link the suspect to the victim. She does not just go on he said she said, and has to have more facts, because there are times that she finds out something that is not true. She takes pride in wanting to make sure it is right and is criticized for it. The good thing is that she does not succomb to "non" law enforcement pressure just because they want someone in jail to make their stats look good. Just be glad that there is at least someone who is openminded enough to care enough to make sure the right person pays for something that has happened. To all the good officer's that care, DO NOT become "yes men" just to make a case that could put the wrong person in jail.

Indeed it is sad that this man has done this awful thing. The hurts are many: his family, the family of the girl, the church family that loved and trusted their preacher, and the Lord before whom he must one day give account. There is yet another group which has been hurt to which I belong. It is the vast number of Godly preachers who by God's grace have not done such things. Sadly the world seems to want to hold us all accountable for the deeds of a few. Preachers are flesh and blood like other men and by no means immune to sin. Pity the preacher who thinks that he cannot fall. But do not throw us all away. There are still some men out there with integrity and character who preach the truth and back it up with the way that they live both in public and in private.

I feel so sorry for that girl and her family, and especially for the pastor's family. I know they must feel burdened and ashamed. It's so called "Christians" like that pastor who give Christianity a bad name. It's such a sad thing that you have to be on a constant watch over your kids, even if they are ar church. My prayers go out to them all, and I hope that nobody will turn from their faith because of this. Just because someone wears the mask of a holy man, it does not make him one.

this is becoming more and more common. what is wrong with people. you can't trust anybody and you can stop saying pastor Grant becasuse he definitely does not deserve that title before his name. this story pure sickens me. what was he thinking? he's old enough to be this girls daddy or better yet granddaddy. he was suppose to be someone that people looked up to. my trust is in God and God only. it's sad to say but this right here is why i don't go to church because you think you know somebody when really you don't and they live a secret life and i'm not about to sit in church listening to someone preach the gospel when they can very well be doing these evil things. i know there are alot of good people out there but who are they? you never know. it's people like this coming to light that gives preachers a bad name. look at the preacher that was raping boys on camping trips. you just can't trust nobody. i can worship God without being inside a church. God knows my heart.
