Local kids learned a little bit about the homeless and raised money to help them.

The youth at Calvary Baptist Church in Dothan spent ten hours out in chilly temperatures last night.

Fifty-three students went without baths and a roof over their heads.

Kids say it was a very enlightening experience and makes them appreciate having a place to go home to.

The group raised over twelve hundred dollars.
