A Houston County family is without a home after it caught fire Monday night.

It happened around midnight off summer road in Malvern.

Departments from Malvern, Faydette and Slocomb responded and were helped by mutual aid from Taylor and Bay Springs fire departments.

Malvern Volunteer Fire Chief Van Johnston says the fire began in the kitchen of the home, but a cause has not yet been determined.

No injuries are reported.
