Icle Glenn Marble, age 100, a resident of Dothan (formerly of Ft. Myers, FL.) died early Saturday April 26, 2008 at his residence.
Memorial services will be 7:30 P.M. Wednesday, April 30, 2008 in Clearman Chapel at Southern Heritage Funeral Home with Reverend Keener Batchelor officiating.
The family will receive friends at Southern Heritage Funeral Home on Wednesday, April 30, 2008 from 6 p.m. to 7:15 p.m. At other times the family will be at 1301 Seneca, Dothan, Alabama 36301.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to New Life Church Building Fund, 964 N. Park Avenue, Dothan, Alabama 36303.
Mr. Marble was born August 17, 1907 in Findlay, Illinois, the son of Luther Filmore Marble and Elizabeth Fultz Marble. Mr. Marble was a member of New Life Church, American Legion, VFW, Rosehill Adult Senior Center, and the AARP Local.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Wilma Hutchinson.
Survivors include his wife of 34 years, Gloria S. Marble, Dothan; two daughters and son-in-law, Marilyn Jenkins, Ft. Myers, FL.; Vickie and Bill Burks, Dothan; two sons and daughters-in-law, James L. and Vicki Stewart, Lindale, TX., Tilden W. and Cindy Stewart, Ft. Myers, FL.; sister, Bertha LeCrone, Sulliven, Illinois; 4 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; nephews, Eddie and Darlene LeCrone, Marengo, Illinois, Max and Mary LeCrone, West Union, Illinois; niece, Janet and Barry Freeman, Wright City, Illinois.
