Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 14, 2008 at 11:00 A.M. at Ward Wilson Funeral Home Chapel, 2414 Hartford Highway, with The Rev. Ray Jones officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Hill Cemetery. Ward Wilson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements for Mr. Johnston.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, May 14, 2008 from 10 to 11 A.M. at the funeral home, prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a favorite charity.

His son, Shane, his father, Ivey Lewis Johnston and his mother, Sara Gene Johnston, preceded Mr. Johnston in death. He is survived by his sister, Helen Johnston Vaughn, brother-in-law, Edward Vaughn, nephew, Ned Vaughn, niece, Anna Vaughn Clissold, great nieces and nephews and several cousins.
