| Mozelle Compton age 80 of Opp, Alabama departed this life Sunday, June 21, 2009 at the Opp Health and Rehabilitation Center. Funeral services will be held at Hayes Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, June 23, 2009 beginning at 2:00 PM with Rev. Elbert Smith, and Rev. Ray Stinson officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery with Hayes Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be held at Hayes Funeral Home on Tuesday, June 23, from 12:30 PM until 2:00 PM. . The family would like to express their appreciation for the loving support shown to the Compton Family Gospel Singers over the years. Mrs. Compton was preceded in death by her parents O.C. and Jewel Baker along with a daughter Melba Lynn Monvant. Survivors include Husband-Glaster Compton of Opp, AL, Son-James Lamonte Compton of Sumter, SC, Son-Kenneth (Linda) Compton of Baton Rouge, LA, Son-Stanley (Glenda) Compton of Bethany, OK, Brother-Obie Baker of Athens, GA, Sister-Wodene Fountain of Atlanta, GA, Sister-Betty Ray of West Point, GA She is also survived by nine grandchildrenand twelve great grandchildren. Hayes Funeral Home of Elba, Alabama is serving the Compton family. | |
