| Mary Parker Kersey of New Brockton, AL passed away Sunday, June 28, 2009 at the family residence. She was 78. Funeral services will be 2 pm Wednesday, July 1 in the Sorrells Funeral Home chapel with Rev. Kerry Mitchell officiating. Burial will follow in Daleville Memorial Gardens with Sorrells Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday evening from 6 until 8. Mrs. Kersey was born September 29, 1930 in North Carolina to the late George D. and Virgie V. Bradley Keener. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Enterprise. A son, David Dean, preceded her in death. Survivors include her husband, Darl Kersey, New Brockton; 2 brothers: Glenn Keener, Conyers, GA and Gerald Keener, Franklin, NC; 1 sister, Dot Sutton, Level Plains, AL; 2 grandchildren, Chris and Carry Dean; several nieces and nephews. | |
