| Elizabeth Garrett Plumb, a resident of Ozark, died Tuesday, June 30, 2009 at Flowers Hospital following a brief illness. She was 62. A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Mrs. Plumb was born July 17, 1946 in New Haven Connecticut, a daughter of the late Walter and Ruth Garrett. She was a Training Specialist at Ft. Rucker retiring following 25 years of service. She attended Nova University in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida where she attained her PHD and EDD Degrees. Elizabeth was an avid animal lover, giving support to several local and national animal shelters. She served on the Board of Directors at the Montgomery Zoo and her cats and horse held a special place in her heart. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Daleville.
