Troy University's Board of Trustees approved a tuition change Thursday as a result of a decrease in funding.

Currently, students taking 12-credit hours or more pay a flat rate of $2,082. Those taking less than 12-hours pay $177 per credit hour.

With the change, all students will pay $170 per credit hour.

The university is waiting on a final word from state lawmakers. If approved, the changes will go into effect for the 2008 fall semester.
