Part of the receipts from last month’s BamaJam Music Festival in Enterprise is expected to bring sorely-needed tax dollars into the Coffee County School District.

This week, Superintendent Dr. Linda Ingram announced that the current revenue figure is down from the same time last year.

However that doesn't take into account the revenue generated from the three-day country music extravaganza which attracted up to 100,000 fans.

The district will receive some of that revenue.

With the downturn in the national economy, Dr. Ingram adds that $5,000 dollar sales tax decline is not that bad.
