MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP) - Public school report cards will be released today by the Alabama Department of Education.

The tests results are used to determine whether students in grades 3 to 11 are meeting, or making progress toward meeting, federal standards in reading and math under the federal No Child Left Behind law.

The state school board meets Monday at 9:30 a.m. at the Gordon Person Building Auditorium in Montgomer.
