How can a community better engage young people in a learning environment? A public forum on that issue took place in Elba.
Several representatives from Auburn University's liberal arts college spearheaded the informal talk.
They want a non-partisan approach to public education, and what can be done to make it more relevant in today's society.
Several citizens said they believed that European and Asian nations are better at preparing their young people for computer related careers.
Next February, the Auburn faculty members are expected to be back in Elba to further discuss education for the 21st century.
