BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (AP) - Conference USA coaches don't expect UAB to compete for the conference championship in 2008. But two Blazers player were named Wednesday to the preseason All C-USA Team.

They named linebacker Joe Henderson and defensive back Will Dunbar to the squad.

The 12 coaches picked the Blazers to finish in last place in the East Division under second year head coach Neil Callaway.

Tulsa was picked to repeat as West Division champs and Central Florida was the choice to win the East.

Southern Miss tailback Damion Fletcher was named the preseason offensive player of the year and teammate Gerald McRath was the choice for preseason defensive player of the year.
