The hot topic Tuesday was the activities of Auburn Football Coach Tommy Tuberville. He reportedly spent the morning in a closed-door meeting with Auburn Athletics Director Jay Jacobs.
This comes a day after Tuberville met with Jacobs and Auburn School President Jay Gouge Monday. The school issued a statement afterward saying Tuesday’s meetings were to discuss plans for improving the program under Tuberville's leadership.
It's being billed as the usual post-season coaching review. But, after a 5-7 season, and a blowout loss to Alabama, some believe these meetings are a bit more intense.
Will Tuberville be asked to make staff changes? Or could there even be a change at the top? Nobody knows the details of the meetings just yet.
Tuberville's current contract with Auburn continues through 2013 at an average salary of over $3 million dollars a year. Auburn would have to pay $6 million to get out the deal.
Tuberville said after the Iron Bowl Saturday that he thinks he's the guy to turn things around.
