McCann Going to All-Star Game
Atlanta catcher earns fourth selection of career

ATLANTA (AP) - Braves catcher Brian McCann has been named to the
All-Star team for the fourth consecutive year.
He became the first Brave to make it three times in his first three full seasons in 2008 and was tapped as a reserve this year despite having vision problems earlier in the season.
McCann missed 13 of the Braves' first 28 games because of blurred vision and dryness in his left eye and was hitting only .195 at the time. He has hit .337 (57-for-169) with six home runs and 29 RBIs since his return from the disabled list on May 8.
McCann was the only Braves player to make the team this year and
will serve as the National League's only backup to Yadier Molina,
who was elected to start via fan balloting.
The game will be played in St. Louis on July 14.
