TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (AP) - Alabama's Greg McElroy and LSU's Jordan
Jefferson have successfully guided their teams into national and
Southeastern Conference title contention.
The two first-year starting quarterbacks can further win over
fans with a victory Saturday when the third-ranked Crimson Tide
hosts the ninth-ranked Tigers.
Both quarterbacks have had their struggles this season. McElroy
hasn't reached 150 yards passing in any of the last four games or
thrown for a touchdown in the last three.
Jefferson has completed two-thirds of his passes over the last
two games since being held to less than 100 yards in a loss to
Florida.
